Welcome to the Nachos! We were one of the most powerful and legendary armies in all of Club Penguin. Known for our fun and enjoyable atmosphere, we're always having a good time! Due to Club Penguin shutting down, the army is mostly inactive. However, our older members tend to keep in touch using discord. You can join using the following link.

Results of the Community Meeting

Hola everyone, Aka here.

Yesterday leaders from every army convened to get and give answers to some of the most important issues in our community right now. All armies (other than DCP, whom declined the invitation and AR, whom were too busy to come) showed up for an hour or so of discussion involving hot button topics. CPAC also showed up to observe the meeting, although the previous requests to publicize the meeting were ignored. Neither here nor there, here are the results of the meeting.

On the topic of DCP:

Q: Do you believe DCP multi-logs?

A: Unanimous agreement

Q: Should DCP be punished?

A: Unanimous agreement

Q: Which punishment seems suitable?

A: Boycotting (ignoring/not participating in DCP wars and events) until January 2016, with a dissenting view from an ACP 2ic whom wanted a -50 deduction.

On the topic of Government:

Q: With Commando gone and the CPA website no longer updated, should a new government be made?

A: The vote was split 70/30, with Yes winning out.

Q: Should a server map be made?

A: Unanimous agreement, with some asking if a new server draft would be necessary (it would be).

Q: Whom should create/update the server map? The government or CPAC?

A: The vote was split 80/20, with CPAC winning out.

Q: When should we hold meetings like this? Monthly, or as necessary?

A: Nearly all voted for monthly. However, since this has been picked, people must show up for monthly meetings! We will do our best to remind everyone as we have done with this meeting when it is coming so people can be prepared.

(around this time people started filtering out)

Q: Until staff can be found, would you be alright with allowing Aka (myself) to create the necessary site/chat and to schedule meetings?

A: The vote was split once again, and no definite answer was reached. For now, I will hold off on creating a permanent website or chat until someone can be picked/elected for the position and hold the responsibility that this brings. However, the next meeting will be scheduled by me and a temporary chat will be used as it was this time around.

Above was the main meat of the meeting; feel free to stop reading here unless you have question, of which I will answer a few here.

Are you AkaBob22?
Yes, I am him. There has been a conspiracy theory floating around that this account and my xat “TheHawkAka” is actually Dan101/akabob223. I can tell you with absolute certainty that I am the original aka, that Dan and I have talked about this, and from what he has told me he told me that he looked up to me to the extent that he would take up my name as something to pay homage to me. He and I have been on chats at the same time, we’re two completely different people; the only similarities between him and I are that he leads the Nachos with an account that has akabob in it, which is what I did years ago. Beyond that, all I do is post on here and organize community meetings.

You’ve only just shown back up. Why do you think you’re qualified to make these meetings and create a government?
That is correct that I have only been back for a few weeks. However, with my experience dating back to 2007 in CP Armies (been in them since i was 12), leading the Nachos alongside my fellow leaders to the number one spot consistently over my time here, my fair view of things and unwavering resolve, I believe that I would be as fair and just as anyone else with this kind of experience and decided to make things happen rather than allow these issues to go unaddressed as they have been for the past few years. Also, I do all my own research on the topics I report on (my past posts as evidence), and don’t have biases. Which brings me to the next question.

Why didn’t DCP show up to the meeting? Was it a deliberate attempt to single them out in the questions?
I went to every army chat that I could find with people in it asking if they and their troops would like to show up to the meeting, which included DCP. However, I was told through a DCP Moderator that Mustapha did not wish to attend the meeting and for all DCP to ignore it. I went to Brad as well, and got no response from him either. I can’t be held accountable when an army refuses to defend themselves in a public forum after I said multiple times that everybody is invited. For the questions, the CPAC Special Report and the attempts to frame former leaders made DCP the perfect test subject for the meeting, as it was something most people had agreed on already that DCP multi-logs. Other armies are not immune and should sufficient proof come up against them in the same way it did for the DCP, then there will be a vote on that as well. DCP is still welcome to attend the meetings, along with every other army.

What did you mean by “working with CPAC“?
In the same way I was working with every army to get them to show up to the meeting, I was working with CPAC to show up to the meeting. Despite the arguments after the meeting that occurred, I believe that the way forward in the community is for the government (or at the very least, for those who support these meetings) to work in tandem with CPAC. Not working as part of CPAC or vice versa, but as two separate but mutually beneficial organizations for each other and the community. For example, CPAC does not wish to become seen as the ones who dictate what happens in the community; they just wish to be reporters. This is when the government would convene in extreme circumstances to solve issues together as a community and decide what we should do when issues crop up, so CPAC can do their own jobs while we do ours. We solve issues as a community, which then gives CPAC something to write about/feel comfortable doing when it has the full community support behind it. Its a win/win.

So how is this going to be enforced/conclusion
The main reason that I have gathered behind why people multi-log is not because they are neckbeard no life’s whom use their high but artificial position to beat down others in arguments, but I believe its more along the lines that we’ve collectively embraced the Top 10 to the point that we’ll do all sorts of goofy “tournaments”, “practice battles”, and other non-armylike things to get that bit much higher on the Top 10 for the week. To be the #1 army and to keep the spot allows people to say that “my army is the strongest in the whole game and we’re the best”, whereas traditional wars are used to reflect the relationships between armies. However, in order for someone to be #1, that means someone else has to be #2 or below (this community has never been one to share spots, after all), which incentivizes leaders to multi-log and bot to raise numbers artificially. The main thing people have to be made to realize is that no matter how many accounts you have or tabs you have opened, pretty soon the only people you’ll be fighting are other multi-loggers because the people whom don’t multi see no point in bothering. That is why I believe working with CPAC is the best way through this, because if investigations are done into multi-accounting, the punishment is meted out through deductions and boycotts from the Top 10, and we encourage genuine, actual fighting with other armies rather than a train of “Recruiting Events” and “Raids” by adding extra points to armies whom face other armies in fights (rather than dancing around the map). Also giving smaller point increases towards new categories like “actively participates in community-wide meetings and discussions” would actively benefit the community as a whole as it encourages inter-connectivity between armies and large alliances to form and fight against each other. However, should CPAC decline to do any of the above, then either we will need to start coming out with ideas as a group, or perhaps even forgo the Top 10 and CPAC altogether. We certainly weren’t getting anywhere with how things have been these past few years, and I can’t do all of this alone until January when I leave, so start thinking!

Any further questions? Feel free to let me know here or on the Nacho chat. I look forward to getting to know all of you and working with everyone to keep this game that I played as a kid going long into the future.

-Aka
