There comes a time in everyone’s army career where they have to say goodbye.
This post is by far the most difficult thing I have had to write on WordPress. There are so many things that I want to say and so many messages I want to give to you all. Throughout my career I have always viewed you more as friends, rather than troops.
Being in the Nachos was one of the best experiences I’ve had, and I’ve enjoyed every moment. I love you guys. It’s going to be so strange not talking to you daily on chat – our drama, our laughs, our games. No matter what happened, we always got through it in the end.
Leaving this army is not easy. It took a lot of consideration and in the end, I still didn’t want to go. Sadly, I don’t have much of a choice due to things going on in my personal life that I have no control over. I haven’t been here for the past two weeks and it’s simply not fair for the army to have an inactive leader. The one thing that I know for certain though, is that the Nachos are in safe hands. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, you guys are by far the best troops in this community and I know you are going to do amazing things with this army. The ownership is strong. There is no doubt in my mind that they will lead the Nachos to greatness, I believe in you. ❤
I have so many wonderful memories here. From making wanted posters for Buck, to solving the “mystery” behind it. Reading stories on TC and playing Chat Mafia. Our toon raids, our daily debates, our excessive use of the “J bomb” on Club Penguin. Beeky’s constant typos of *wary* and our over-exaggerated weekly drama that sometimes even made it to a news outlet. 😉
When I look back on the months of April/May, we were in a bad state. Numerous posts have been written on it, our fall and our rise. We began to rebuild. We got the kick-start we needed and began to grow again. We became the new Nachos of 2014. This was our year of redemption. It makes me so grateful to have been a part of it.
One of the proudest moments in my career is our UK division doing well. I’m so proud of you guys. I’ve watched this division grow from getting 7 troops online, to maxing 35+ and being one of the strongest UK divisions in this community. Your constant belief and hard work got us to where we are now. I’m so happy to say that I was a part of it and to have shared the time with you as a leader.
After the tough weeks, we began to see the hard work pay off.
We beat some of the best armies around in battle: Light Troops, Dark Warriors, The Rebel Penguin Federation. We battled in wars and won them all. We got to the Final of the Legend’s Cup, which is something people thought impossible. We made it back into the Top 5 in CPAC, we got back to maxing 50 troops. We soared in our war with DCP, and we made history together. You made things in this army enjoyable and I loved every moment.
Becoming leader was one of the best feelings in the world. Being able to lead the army I’ve loved ever since I joined in 2010. Leading you in the Legend’s Cup and the IANH alliance was an indescribable feeling. Watching you all grow into such strong troops is something every leader dreams of.
Although I was only in this army for a short amount of time, It fills me with pride. Even though we’ve had our bumps in the road, we always sorted things out in the end and got stronger.
As a leader, all I wanted was for this army to do well and for it to thrive. Some of you may not have liked me at times, or thought that I was too strict, but just know this: I value each and every one of you. I love this army and I love everyone in it. This community can be hectic at times, but it’s given me so many great experiences and I will miss it.
I’m going to miss logging on everyday and talking to you all as an owner. I’m going to miss the events, the jokes, and the terrible YouTube links. I’m going to miss the TC’s and the late night Kik conversations. I’m going to miss the excitement of a battle and the owner meetings that at some points, lasted for 3 hours. I’m going to miss leading you through it all.
One of the things that saddens me the is not being able to complete what I wanted to in this army – lead for an entire year and defeat a certain army on my list. The memories that were made make up for it all, however. Most importantly I’m going to miss talking to you as a friend rather than a leader. I’m going to miss going to some of you for advice, or for something to laugh about. I’m going to miss the energy that the Nacho chat has. Some of you may not be here when I come back to pay a visit, which is something I don’t want to think about.
All I ask is that you try your very best in the army and enjoy yourself. Happy troops are what counts, no matter what our sizes are. Enjoy each and every moment you have here, because you never know when it will come to an end.
This retirement post is bittersweet, as I did not want it to be my final goodbye.
As this post draws to a close, I’d just like to say thank you. Thank you for believing in me as a leader and being with me through it all. Thank you for making Xat enjoyable and for giving me something to smile about.
The past 8 months have been some of the best I’ve had – I couldn’t imagine sharing it with any other army. I’m going to try my best to help out whenever I can, I’m only a message away. Once a Nacho, always a Nacho.
Reliving the past few months fills me with emotions of what we’ve achieved together. You guys have made me the leader I am today, all I hope is that I’ve made you proud in return.
Many people have had a huge impact on me during my time on Xat, and I’d like to let them know how much they mean to me, so with no furter ado, here are the mentions:

- Weazelkid: One of the nicest guys on Xat, you always managed to make me smile. We’ve had our ups and our downs but you’ll always be a good friend. Weazelkid Fan Club” *smirk.*
- Danny: Be prepared for a long mention cring ;_;. Where do I start with you? You’re like my older brother. You’ve been there with me through it all, right from the moment I got that gold pawn on Xat. Everyday you’d teach me new things, and tell me what it means to be an owner. You taught me how to lead, how to work on the site, how to interact with the young troops. We’ve had our fights but always manage to sort them out in the end :’). Sorry for giving you such crap when you joined RPF, but in the end it actually brought us closer as friends. You’ve been such a great help outside of Xat too “I except.” 😉 You always manage to make me laugh with your cringy jokes and your reactions to watching “The Walking Dead.” Chubby Bunny Challenge we still need to complete :D. You’re one of the best leaders the Nachos have ever had, and Ice Warriors are very lucky to have you. You’ve helped me out with problems in real life and I honestly don’t know what I would have done without you some days. You’re also a really strong person, and don’t ever let anyone put you down. Thanks for everything. I’m gonna miss you buddy :(.
- Cristina/Aqua: I love youuuu. One of my closest friends in this community and also the fiercest. You gave me so many laughs and honestly, I see you as becoming leader one day. You’re an amazing person and always try your best to help with any problems people, are having and you also have no problem sorting anyone who has an issue with you or the Nachos out. You go gurl ;).
- Baseball: A great mod, good luck in your future with the Nachos.
- Darkman: I see you as a future leader, so 1000+ Fancy Points for you. You’re always great for a laugh and your posts are amazing. Your pick-up lines on Kik oh my god. :’) Gonna miss you Dark, you still need to cam doe!!

- Oggy/Tboy: You two are some of the best troops in this army :D. I can see you both rising through the ranks as the new generation of the Nachos. Thanks for being awesome, I’m gonna miss you guys.
- Ads: Thanks for recruiting me back in 2010, joining the Nachos was one of the best experiences I’ve had, and I wouldn’t have been here if it weren’t for you. “LOL e-daters” :).
- Daniel: -inserts really long and emotional post here that everyone will cringe at and x out of- Honestly, I don’t know what I would do without you. You’ve made me the person I am today and I couldn’t ask for anyone better. You are one hell of a person and by far one of the best leaders I’ve ever seen. You’ve helped me so much in my army career and made everything worth it. Don’t let anyone put you down, and don’t let anyone’s words get to you because you truly are one of a kind. I love you. Thank you for your constant support, love and guidance while I was in the Nachos, and for putting up with my constant grumpiness if we lost an event. You helped me become the leader I am now, and you took me under your wing at the beginning and helped me with posts, leading, working on recruiting, uniforms, friends, tactics, and wars. You’re one of the reasons we did well this year; you helped so much – even if people don’t give you recognition for it. The work you do is amazing and the effort you put in is astounding. You make my day everyday. You’re one of the funniest and most caring people I know. You were there for me no matter what, as a best friend and as a boyfriend. You always help anyone who has a problem, and you always care about how they’re feeling. You’re also an amazing singer, and I’m going to post a cover of you one day mwahahaha. I hope one day that you’ll see yourself through my eyes :’). People are probably puking whilst reading this, so I’m going to give you the full message in person :’). I couldn’t ask for a better boyfriend, and I’m so glad I get to see you and be with you everyday <3.

- Max/Cas: By far the best Englishman there is – even if I do hate the songs you sing 😥 . You’re a lovely guy, always up for a bit of banter and you never fail to make me laugh. You also have the most amazing accent :’). You were a great leader in ACP, and I loved the short time that you were in the Nachos with me. I would have loved to lead the UK division with you one day, your leadership skills are definitely some of the best. Most importantly, thank you for believing in me when not many other people did. It really means a lot and it gave me motivation to do well in the Legend’s Cup and during our daily events. I hope I didn’t disappoint you. Stay in touch mo stóir ❤ .
- Roberto: Thanks for your help with the Nachos, and with Xat in general. You’re a nice guy when you act like yourself.

Laoise you are the one that fills all my thoughts, and the one that brings smiles to my face with all the kind things you do. When you say I’m special, I really try to feel like I truly am though I’ve never thought I was. Each time you say that you love me, I sense it even more than the last time. Though I tried to prove that you were wrong before, you never had any doubts in your words. We have barely known each other for a full year, but yet again it seems as we have never been apart – you were my dream all along. I have never felt closer to such a person like yourself, Laoise. You do the sweetest things for me, while my pure existence seems to be more than enough to make you happy. You brought me even closer to the real world and helped me believe in myself again. I love every moment I spend with you, even when we spend late nights talking about everything and nothing. I love it when you show me your sensitive side, then hurriedly tried to cover it with a witty phrase. You’re an amazing leader who has done more for Nachos than anyone in this army to date – you’ve carried it through and through, and now that you’re leaving surely things won’t be the same. You’ve become one hell of a leader, Laoise. When I first met you, you didn’t have the foggiest idea how to lead, but over the past few months you’ve prospered. During your leadership you have managed to challenge a system and turn this army into a perpetual ranking machine which seems to always reach for the high bar when it comes to the top ten, essentially always grasping on the higher rankings on Sunday.
Your vehement attitude to leading this army to triumph is what made you the exceedingly influential and formidable leader inside of this community today. Despite the fact other say that past leaders have sculpted the past UK division – which has some truth to it, I suppose, you have essentially brought vigor might to the UK division of the Nachos. You may not believe that there is something fundamentally irregular about you, but there is. The best leaders are always the ones who don’t nestle themselves into the pigeonhole of regularity. You’re the very person who shaped their own style of leading, whether it be ‘in your own right’, or for other people to pick up on as they venture throughout their career – you did that.
Life is composed of decisions, and their immediate and incremental effect on yourself, and those around you. A butterfly flaps its wings, and a hurricane begins to boil somewhere in the opposite hemisphere. A production-line employee passes a bullet at the inspection point, and someone’s power to make decisions is permanently removed, somewhere in the world. The vast tapestry of choices life has to offer should not be seen as a hindrance, but a blessing. The onus is on us to enlighten yourself to this simple and indelible truth: You have a choice. Once enlightened, it is your duty, your obligation to yourself and everyone else to hold onto this concept, and ensure that your actions are reserved solely for the purpose of reinforcing and honoring your whole ideal.
For some this community makes it extremely hard to break the mold, go against the ‘norm’ or maintain your own barometers of tranquility, but I know that you can break the norm and break away from this community as one of the best leaders I have seen over the past few years of my time in this community. Fight some battles, earn some stripes, and leave. There’s only so far you can walk across the tightrope before you look down at the crashing waves below, and wonder what the view’s like from down there. Dare yourself to do something not considered to be wise by everyone you love to hate, everyone you hold dear and have ever met during your time in this community. I dare you. Because a minority of one doesn’t make you crazy or a failure, it makes you a revolutionary, and THAT is what you are.

I dont usually comment on this site, but I felt I had to pay tribute to one of the most interesting, unpredictable, decent exciting, genuine friends I have had the pleasure to meet, socialise and be around in my very long extended time here.
When I first met you, I knew you were something different. Like me, you’ve always had a silver tongue – and by god that tongue worked its magic. Who would have thought that you could convince me to join the army I’d despised for 4 years, and made it my lifes work to destroy? That took someone, and something special – it took you, and your sheer force of personality. It’s a gift that will serve you well in whatever you do.
I draw parallels between your leadership and my own – we both inherited broken armies, weak in morale and lacking in physical strength. You took the Nachos and remoulded them in your own image – this army is YOU. You should be damn proud of what you’ve achieved here.
Many didnt agree with you, some opposed you – they were all wrong. I believed in you always. “You may say I’m a dreamer, but I’m not the only one”. I don’t regret it. You didn’t disappoint me.
I’ll miss you, but we’ll keep in touch. I’ll continue singing Unionist songs, whilst you troll me with your celtic posters and pro-IRA chants. This isn’t the end, far from it.

Lonasie, when I first met you I literally couldn’t bare to talk to you any longer because you said Tottenham were shit and I disagreed. But in the end, we talked a lot, and I’m so glad we did, because you’re one of the best friends I’ve ever had in the community and I wouldn’t change the times we’ve had and will continue to have for the world.
You’ve done so much for this army that I’ve called home for so long, and without you I really question whether there would be a Nachos army in existence still. Thank you for that , so much. You said I was the best UK Leader this army has ever seen, and I’d agree *wary*, however, when we encompass things to include all those other weird Euro-using non-English speaking Europeans too, the honour goes to you, you accomplished what no one else has in this army, the best European division in armies.
And for the world outside of armies you’ve helped me a lot too, I don’t think I’ve ever went to anyone from this community for advice for things outside of it, but I have to you, and you’ve provided me with it, and I’m ever thankful, you’ve made me more confident as a person, and I’m so grateful for that, I’m sorry that my advice tends to be a tad shit. (Don’t listen to that “don’t use contraception” piece , its not the best one).

Kreisisi, you are by far one of my best friends in this community. You’ve helped me so much on xat with the army, and also with any issues I was having in real life. Your constant support, knowledge and friendship is what kept me going a lot of the time. You never failed to make me smile or to laugh or cry or basically show any emotion. You’re genuinely an all around sweet guy and you never want to hurt anyone. You shouldn’t feel insecure about yourself because honestly you are one of a kind.
Thank you for believing in me in the Nachos, but I honestly wouldn’t have been able to do it without you guys. Yous were my rock and It’s something that I will never be able to repay.
This isn’t a goodbye because I know we’re going to be great friends for a very long time, and I have high hopes of meeting you one day. It’s my goal to get you to like celtic. Lmao.
