• Welcome

Welcome to the Nachos! We were one of the most powerful and legendary armies in all of Club Penguin. Known for our fun and enjoyable atmosphere, we're always having a good time! Due to Club Penguin shutting down, the army is mostly inactive. However, our older members tend to keep in touch using discord. You can join using the following link.

A Post For the Entire Army

As September graces us with its presence, the steady supply of soldiers that Summer once brought us comes to an end, and the true test of leadership lingers in the future. The first 2 months of school are the ultimate test for even well-conditioned armies. Sizes will dwindle and once diligent Nachos will slip away into the suffocating shadows of inactivity. Education is important, so your studies should definitely come before the Nacho army. While I can argue that you apply yourself more by being the leader of a Club Penguin Army, you can not possibly put “i lead the club penguin nachos to their highest point ever” on your job applications. Before the Nachos even get to the point of disappointing numbers due to school, I would like to share some things with the army.

As many of you know, I retired in August of 2009, but I have been coming back every so often as an advisor to help out with the army. I own the website and I feel it is my duty to give some protection to the generation of Nachos after me. I must say that I now know how Shadow felt. However, that is not the point. I would like to finally get away from armies, only to come back when the leaders need me to restore the website from a hacking, or whatever it may be. The army can’t be stable without leaders who know how to handle an army. I picked Talex and Oberst because I felt that their abilities boasted the highest possible success rate. With the right combination of activeness and helping out from the moderators, I believe that this leadership can excel higher than I took the Nachos.

Nachos, our system is broken. Ever since I left, the Nachos have not been able to stay stable for more than 3 months at a time. Tan did a fantastic job leading the Nachos, but how long did it last? Since my leadership, the moderators have been given the same roles as a member because the leaders do everything. While the moderators hold the title of moderator, the amount they can do for the entire army is equal to that of a member. Before  I give some solution to this, let me remind you that this organization thrives on the severs of Club Penguin. It is our duty to patrol these servers and establish a massive presence. The leaders will not be on all day every day to ensure that there are groups of people patrolling, recruiting, and defending our servers. This is the job of our moderators. While it hasn’t been clearly said, the moderators are  supposed to be the unscheduled leaders. While the owners are preparing for scheduled battles, I believe that it is the duty of the moderator to get the members on Club Penguin and introduce them to tactics and warfare.

It is clear that the moderators need to be given more responsibilities. Without giving them responsibility, they fall lazy, like most of our moderator ranks are today. The moderators of the Nacho Army have power in the fact that they can kick/ban/member/guest, but they don’t exercise their power over organizing in Club Penguin. this is the Nacho Army of CLUB PENGUIN, not Xat. Xat is the base to make giving orders easier. Any moderator who does not show that they have the ability to carry the responsibilities of a moderator should be demoted, so a deserving high member rank who has been waiting years to become a moderator can finally have a say in the army. I do understand that some moderators don’t know the full extent of their power, and that is partially to blame for the ideology the army world shares today. That fear would be that attacking another army in an unscheduled battle may result in a huge war with an unnecessary amount of allies and the threat that your army will be exterminated.

Why are we not able to develop the philosophy of attacking armies without being concerned of the possibility that the army will be sucked into war?  If the other army so chooses to escalate the conflict, let them do so. Every army is an ally with every other army, so every time one army feels that an injustice was done to them by another army, the entire Club Penguin Army community gets involved due to not only the idea that they  have to help an ally, but for the reason that they will not get much action in the future. This needs to stop immediately. Attacking other armies in an unscheduled fashion should not be as frowned upon as it is today. Those kind of actions were what fueled Club Penguin armies until communication improved and stable alliances were formed. Unscheduled battles show how diligent the members really are, but unscheduled battles in this day and age turn into a war to exterminate the army that decided to try and light the old spark of Club Penguin armies. I believe that we should show the army community how much war can be created from unscheduled battles if we do not turn them into gigantic wars to exterminate. The true colors of an army are shown in unscheduled situations where the leaders are under such great pressure, while in a scheduled battle, the amount of preparation is overwhelming.  Why don’t the Nachos change this?

We can make the first move.

(Btw, I HIGHLY recommend watching the movie V for Vendetta if you get the chance. Definitely on my list of top movies)

Unscheduled battles show so many things. How long are they willing to stay on and fight for the Nachos? Promotions should be more determined on the people who get on Club Penguin for the Nachos no matter if it is scheduled or unscheduled. We should be encouraging Nacho activity outside of scheduled events, which leads me to my next point.

Recently, it seems as if events are being scheduled because it’s something that must be done. Scheduled events should serve a purpose that motivates people to come because they should have a very important purpose. In the posts where I scheduled an event, there would be at least a 3 paragraph explanation to why we would be there and how we would prove the glory of the Nachos by having 50+ people. An army is nothing without its members, and members are nothing without motivation. The simple idea of being a part of an army is not enough motivation anymore. The ACP has the motivation that they are the ARMY OF CLUB PENGUIN. Our motivation that we are the FUN “Nachos Army” is slipping away because to me, it seems like our events are chores. Events should not be chores, but a time to get on Club Penguin, spread the word of the Nachos, have fun, and defend the glory of the Nachos.

My next part is addressing the leaders. Please, Leaders: Communicating with every member of the Nacho Army on a personal level is very important. The way that the low ranks perceive the leaders changes the way that the army operates. A leader who respects the opinions of all members and listens to what they have to say will be able to keep the low ranks in the army for a longer time. Lower ranks need the recognition of the leaders or else they think that they are fighting for nothing but the leader’s own glory. Leaders need to remind the members that everything done is for the entire army. No war shall be fought because of the selfish desires of the leader, but of the overwhelming consensus of the army. The leader is not the army.

Members, you are important, and this army is for you. However, without your cooperation, this army can not work. Without the leaders realizing the importance of fun events and posts that motivate, this army can not compete with the ACP. As a leader, there is time for being funny, and there is a time for being serious, and in the Nachos, we should know how to balance that.
