Changes for Improvement

Hola Nachos,

There are many things that make this army great from our loyal soldiers to our skillful tactics. What really makes us unique though is that we are always having fun and making the best out of any situation. Really without any fun there is no purpose in being here because that is the original intent of this all: to be fun. However, as of late, one of our key ways where we all usually have fun has really not been so fun. You probably already know what I am talking about and that is our chat.

From what I have noticed, the presence of former Nacho soldiers or retirees has slowly increased on chat while the presence of our actual troops has almost completely diminished. The only time when our troops come on chat is when there is an event, but never to hang out and talk to other troops really. If they do decide to hang out on a chat to speak to their friends, it’s usually not on our chat, but some other chat out there.

I have asked some of you, and the majority of you believe the problem is the retirees have taken over the chat and practically ruined fun for others. Their excessive cussing as well as the things they discuss really makes it a place where you do not want to be. I completely understand that too, so I decided to confront ‘those’ retirees about the problem. In fact, they decided to move to another chat all together, so now they are gone. The chat is now 100% yours.

It may take a while for the chat to completely return normal as it once was, but I am confident it will. I encourage you all to go on Nacho chat and make it the place that it once was. All you have to do is make a small extra effort to come on chat and say hey for a bit. Not only will this increase overall activity, but it increases your chance of a promotion greatly because the leaders will see that you are active and deserve a promotion.

Another thing that we have slowly gotten away from is having unscheduled events. We have gotten away from those because the amount of soldiers on chat has slowly decreased as I’ve already mentioned. We are going to get back into doing unscheduled events though. They are usually fun events where we just mess around, but they are also very beneficial to the army as a whole. I will make another post later about unscheduled events soon, but I’m thinking we’ll try to have unscheduled events every night or at least every other. Then we’ll make it required that you’ll have to attend say 2 of those unscheduled events a week to be eligible for a promotion.

That’s about all for now; I’ve said enough for today. Comment on what you think!

We don’t march to the beat of drums, we hear maracas!

  1. Cool 😀

  3. I’ll say what I think, and that is, that you’ve definitely hit the nail on the head with this one. When I first returned to nacho chat, I immediately saw said retirees chatting in caps, swearing and using weird phrases that wouldn’t be appropriate for those of a younger age. I agree with the fact you’ve said that this most likely discourages others from talking, and therefore they see no reason to go and hang out chat, and become less active as a whole.

I think these changes are for the better. I wish the chat would go back to being the place is once was just like you do. Some of us remember the old days, and this chat certainly wasn’t a place I recognised when I first logged on. Now, however, I hope this glitch in our community has been corrected, once and for all.

I don’t bear any hard feelings to those who will no longer chat on the nacho chat. I don’t mind some of them. But, at the same time, they really were disrupting the flow.

Hasta la vista, salsa! Haha. New catchphrase?h

  4. This was a great choice, Puck. I won’t point out anyone specific or throw names out there, but I think that a lot of retirees really made Nacho chat an unpleasant place to be if there wasn’t an event, and they were always stirring up arguments and disrupting what really is the NACHO chat, not their chat.

I’m glad you’ve made this decision, and I bet Nacho chat will be a better place in the next few weeks.

  5. Ima be honest here. Since I have joined the Nachos, chat has been a
big thing for me, as I started off there as a noob. But ever since I was a noob, retirees have always found a way of some sort to ‘get at me’. Sometimes they were usefull when the occasional ‘I AM THE BEST PERSON EVAR!11!!!’ Kid comes on. Inside I always new that the kid would never come again, and we had lost a Nacho. But the chat may loose its charm late at night , the time they came on.

  6. I became unactive for a period of time cuz sneezy sent me a innapropriate (and scary) photo that scared the crap out of me.

  7. I agree puck

  8. no offence to anyone but this how I feel occasionally while in ACP chat, yes I know I’m a hypocrite but meh, glad Nachos chat isn’t like that

    • ^^ not implying that I’m one of those people on Nachos chat, last time I went there was a long time ago, but I am retired and hang out on chats sometimes
