Hola Nachos!
Great news! The sombrero has finally returned to Club Penguin! After an absence of about four years, it is now back! And the best news, it’s free for BOTH non-members and members! It may be not be the model that we have dreamed of, but we’ll certainly take it! The last appearance of the sombrero was back in 2009 where we experienced one of our greatest Golden Ages after its new release. With this sudden and surprising release of this new sombrero, we will definitely be taking advantage of this prime situation, just like we did in 2009. I cannot tell you enough how lucky this generation is to have this potent weapon. Wear it proudly and use it well, and we will go far, and a new Golden Age shall arise.
Sombrero Mandate of 2014: All Nachos (members and non-members) are required to get the new sombrero and wear it as a part of the Nacho uniform. Additionally, with its release, mass recruiting by all soldiers is expected, so we can utilize it to its full potential and our utmost benefit.
- Any previous versions of the Sombrero/Poncho Nacho Uniform is 100% acceptable and fine to wear as your Nacho uniform, i.e. the yellow sombrero and the brown sombrero.
- Any body item as long as it is orange or red is acceptable to go with the black sombrero as of now.
SUGGESTED UNIFORM. May be modified to some extent.
How to Get the Sombrero
1. First, go to the the Snow Forts (Spain).
2. Now, MEMBERS: find Gonzo (that dude sitting in the Forts) and equip yourself with the red cape. Wear this item, then press D (dance) to look for a partner. Next, click the emote that will appear to join in the act with the other person.
NON-MEMBERS, to join in the act, you have to wait for a member to put up the red cape icon. Once you see, click the icon and goes as fast as you can to get it (like seriously; apparently if you’re too slow, some other noob gets it and you don’t and you have to find some other person).
Helpful hint: it’s probably best to get a fellow Nacho on chat to help you in obtaining the sombrero quickly, so you don’t have to waste your time pleading people to put up the freaking icon just to get beat by some person then having to do the process again and again (like me :mrgreen:)
3. After the penguin oddly shrinks and is chased with a bull that pops up out of nowhere, you’ll be able to collect the sombrero.

But wait, there’s more!
On March 27, 2014, another sombrero (also free and for non-members!) will be released on Club Penguin! Upon it’s release, we will also incorporate it into our uniform! Oh, and some new sweet maracas get released that day too for you members.

Would it be a good idea to scedual a “Sombrero Grab Event” in which you have a specific time and server where the members can log in and get the sombrero from an owner.

Looks like the Sombrero has given us luck thus far.
Im ACP but I gotta say that uniform is BADASS you guys looked so professional all wearing the same at yesterdays ACP vs Nachos battle. I saw it on the catalog and thought I wonder if they will take advantage of this and I was amazed how you all looked the exact same. Well done to you guys.
