Hola Nachos,
So lately, something quite serious has been going on in this army and it needs to be addressed. That issue is cyber-bullying & abuse.
Over the past few weeks, the Nacho chat has become a completely different environment to the care-free, fun chat we all know and love. I’ve been in the Nachos for quite a few years now and never have I seen something like this. Each week we are failing to gain new recruits, Active members are leaving to join other armies and every single person in this army has been subjected to some form of abuse, threat, and argument. This needs to stop. I used to love going on our chat. Everyone was always enjoying themselves, members from other armies would come on to the chat to socialize and have a joke with our own troops. Our chat was welcomed to anybody with no strict-rules in place and because of that, people from all over the community came to visit. Now? Now I dread coming on the chat when I get home because I know what’s going to be waiting for me. Arguments, screaming matches and extreme bullying/threats. Every day that I log on, I am greeted with at LEAST one upset troop. The Nachos are killing themselves from the inside. It has nothing to do with any other armies. It’s our own owners, mods, and members that are doing it. I never thought I would say this but the Nachos aren’t an enjoyable army anymore. It seems more like a chore to go on Club Penguin for an event because I know as soon as we log on, people with explode and start a row. Troops are getting mocked for playing Club Penguin and logging on at events. BY OTHER MEMBERS. How are we supposed to win a battle if we can’t even stop bickering among ourselves for 30 minutes? All anyone does is abuse each other daily. You all seem to get some sort of kick out of it. Do you guys enjoy each other’s misery? I know for a fact that each and every one of you can think of at least one time you’ve been told something negative about yourself on this chat. “You’re worthless.”, “You’re a noob.”, “Everyone hates you.”, and “Kill Yourself.”. People in this army fail to see how much of an impact these words have on people. We have to remember that even though we can’t see the damage we’re doing, our words could have a huge impact on a person’s life. This needs to stop.
What about racial slurs? Gender discrimination? Excessive cursing? Excluding someone because of their level of “intelligence” or because of what gender they’re attracted to? Cultural bigotry. Death threats. All of these things seem very extreme but over the past while? This has become a daily routine in our army. People almost seem oblivious to it at this stage and it’s hard to keep track of who said what because, let’s face it. We’ve all said at least one of these things to someone in the past. Our chat sizes have gone down and we’re struggling to get 20 at a weekend event. This is because people are just tired of coming on our chat. I don’t blame them. What’s the point in coming online if all that’s going to happen is them getting taunted?
All of this needs to change. Starting today.
We need to lay down some limits for the chat. Enforce SOME rules. I know some of you aren’t going to like this but it needs to be done. I can’t bare watching people log off upset each and everyday wondering if they’re okay. If someone’s comment has finally pushed them over the edge? This is where I need all of your help. We are the Nacho Army of Club Penguin. We CAN make it to 1st in CPAC. We CAN win each tournament we enter. We CAN be the best army in Club Penguin, once again. But first we need to mend ourselves. We need to become a family again. That’s what we are. Every one of you is a jigsaw piece and we need you to complete the puzzle. I need everyone to make an effort. just try to be nicer to someone. Don’t lose patience as quickly and try talking things out. I know we can do this.
What I’d like to happen is to have a page on this website where people can post any issues and troubles that they might be having within this army. Things they think we can improve on things we’re doing well and things they’d like to see being introduced. I know one thing for sure, the reputation of our chat is going to be altered for the better. Owners, mods and members will be making sure that our army will return to it’s fun and happy reputation. All that needs to be done is this:
- If you see someone being bullied on chat, keep a record of it. Screenshot the picture and show it to an owner when they log on.
- If you are a member click the “Ignore” button. The bully will be dealt with when an owner or moderator sees what has happened.
- Enforce the Rules. This goes for mods & owners. Don’t be afraid to kick or ban someone as long as you have a good reason and there’s evidence to back you up. Keep a picture for example.
- Never be afraid to stand up for yourself. No matter what. If someone is bullying you, you’re entitled to ask them to leave you alone. if that’s a kick/ban or telling someone so they can kick/ban that person for you. Don’t feel like you’re a bad person for doing this. You’re simply making the chat a better place for everyone.
In the next few weeks we will be posting a few new rules. Don’t worry, it’s not going to be some crazy jail rules. Just simple ones that will improve ourselves, and make everyone happier. I’d like you all to leave a comment with something you feel should be added to the rules or something you feel should be taken out of the rule book.

Finally.
I agree entirely! :O
Thank you c:
In reality its getting old. Everyday all day there seems to be a fight where no one knows how it got started and why they’re fighting and its getting annoying when everyone says f*** and n***** in every sentence, because it doesn’t help get your point across better if you say it more times.
People are being asses to each other. If we want people to start joining again everyone needs to tone it down and get along. Welcome people from other armies in and don’t automatically gang up on them because if we’re good to them they’ll probably want to join then or sometime in the future.
Btw the post was too melodramatic.
Thank you so much for posting this. 🙂
Great post.
Thanks Jamie.
I couldn’t agree more. Sometimes though, I just try to tolerate those who are mean because they might actually have a reason to act the way they do, like they might be depressed, might be experiencing life problems. I don’t like it when one insults another, but I don’t really mind when one insults me. I hope every single Nacho reads this!
Thank you for posting this for me c: I hope things get sorted.
No problem, thank YOU for making this post!
I can’t make it I want to though.
Finally and great post laoise!
hi
Agreed. every-one says f*** and n*****. There are so may Immature peope on the chat lately thas been goin on for about a month..
Don’t forget Rule 5 too;”5. Arguments that don’t concern the whole chat will be taken to PC (Private Chat). Failure to do so will result in a kick, and then if continued, a ban.”
Finally someone else actually wants something done about this. it seemed like no one did but i’m glad we’re finally getting everyone to step up on this issue *thumbs up*
Thanks Pony! c:
Great post.I agree
Great post. I just hope people actually try to fix this instead of being a post that goes in one ear and right out the other.
I agree
Thank you, Mario.
This post basically sums up most of our feelings, which is great. Amazing post. 😀
Thank you!
I’m ine of the victims in this bad language and insulting talk. I’m going to follow rule number one a lot. People curse on the chat sometimes. This really affects me because I’m young. Even some words that are bad to me can still be shown. I’m really glad some rules have finally been put in to place. Laoise, I don’t know how to thank you enough for finally creating some rules.
