Let it Burn

Hi all,

For the second year in a row, we made a very solid run in the Legends Cup, but unfortunately, we didn’t quite make it out on top today. However, before you start getting upset (which many of you already are, I understand) take a small step back. Take a good look at where we were back in May, and where we are now. We’ve accomplished so much this summer – I’ve had so much fun being able to help lead you through it, and I hope you all enjoyed the ride just as much.

The battle today was mightily close, and it was arguably our greatest performance of the entire year. Our tactics were on point, (as per usual) and though we were a little outnumbered in most rooms, we still put up some pretty great sizes. We averaged 35 and definitely got 40 multiple times today; we had to make IW earn it, that’s for sure.

As for the prizes, a post explaining how they will be given out will be up in the next few days, so be on the lookout for that. Overall, spectacular job today, throughout this tournament, and the entire summer.

Lockouts

Let this loss sting; let it burn under your skin, and turn it into the motivation you need to help this army rise higher than ever before.

Comment if you made it

  1. I was there. 🙂

  2. It burns like an STD

  3. I attended. You all did an amazing job Nachos, even if we didn’t win. You put your heart and souls into this battle and it just shows how far we’ve come since April. We’ve gone from maxing sometimes 7 at US events, to getting to the final of the Legends Cup. We knocked out the #1 and #2 armies on CPAC. We were the underdogs and nobody believed in us, we proved them wrong and we made it to the final. I’m so proud of you all and I’m proud to call myself a Nacho and to say that I attended this tournament and spent the summer with you guys. You’re by far the best troops in this community. Thank you for sticking with us through it all and believing in yourselves. It’s onwards & upwards from here. ❤

    Sombreros Together, Nachos Forever.

  4. I made it and I want to thank all of you for coming it was a fun battle no matter the results

  5. I attended the battle, last year I used to be a member in the Nacho army I was new all the leaders in Nachos helped me a lot they taught me how armies function and etc. My first battle was the LC semi-finals where we had crushed WV I believe then moved on the final I was very excited for it, I was new I had no idea about anything but I knew it was something huge I knew that Edd was gonna retire after the finals so I gave in my best then went on to CPAC chat I got membered and I read that we had lost.

I shattered into pieces I did not know why but I could feel the moment as a private I was raging because I loved Nachos specially the leaders, later after 2-3 months I left Nachos and moved on to becoming a leader in UMA then earned reputation in this community and etc. I thank Nachos for helping me when I was a noob here.

Time really flew for me today I came on Nachos chat and helped in the mega finals it was an intense battle and I saw that every Nacho tried their best. This time there was no need for sadness guys cause you all gave in your best as Beeky said look what all you guys have earned throughout this summer, I have seen your name rise up and up in the top tens so dont let this final take your confidence down because wins and loses come along the journey ofc everyone feels bad when they lose the finals, its one step away from being the champions. But its not what every army can do not every army can reach the finals. So be proud and be happy that you reached the finals and did so good 🙂

  6. ME DERE. 🙂

  7. “Let the loss sting, let it burn under your skin” That’s offensive. You should’ve said “Don’t feel bad, because we’re going to do better” or something close to that…. why would you let them feel burns?

    • I don’t like to sugarcoat things for my troops. Losing sucks; it’s a devastating concept. But if you can learn to embrace it and use the negative emotions as motivation to rise higher, the better you’ll be able to deal with it.

      • Beeky, that’s just being mean. Look at your troops, some of them are greiving and one of them even banned me for an hour. They’re not happy and you’re telling them to let them be sad, you’re a monster. If Albert was still here and we lost the Legend’s Cup, he’d say something close like “Ok so we lost the tourney, but that doesn’t mean we have to give up. You fought really hard today and that is respected, I’m proud of the efforts. Let’s focus on doing better in the future” but you’re telling your troops to let it sink in and you’re not comforting these troops at all. You’re just standing by while they grieve. What if you lost a family member and your friends don’t do anything to comfort you? How would you feel then? Think about it.

        • I’m telling them to use it as a catalyst for better performance. I’m not telling them to give up at all, and if that’s how you’re deciding to interpret it, then that’s your own problem.

          • Hey, it’s my own opinion, get over it.

            • You came at me first. Stop trying to shove your opinion down my throat if you want me to get over it.

              • I’m sorry, Beeky. I just hate it when someone tells me to keep being sad and to convert that into confidence, because it’s not possible for me. I keep thinking that my experiences are the same for everyone else, it was guilt that made me rage at you. I’m sorry. I thought you were telling everyone to give up because you were telling everyone to let the sadness sting and burn. I hate stinging and burning.

I was there, and was disappointed but I thought we did pretty well

    • COMMUNIST. THIS IS A DIRTY COMMUNIST.

  8. Sorry I couldn’t make it, I was at a BBQ all evening but I did leave my autotyper on (not that I suppose it made much difference).

    Good effort, Nachos!

  9. I came. Quit obvious that Nachos were the real winners here.
