Hi all,

This is it. It’s do or die time, Nachos; there’s no losers bracket this time around, so we need to leave everything have out on the virtual battlefield today. On my previous battle plans post, I emphasized how important it would be for us to perform better at that event than we had at any other during all of this year if we wanted to come out on top – and now I’m asking you to top that. This will not be an easy task. The opponent that we are facing in only a few hours from now has stood triumphantly atop CP warfare for the entire season, and show no signs of slowing down even the slightest bit.

We’ve been preparing hard all week, and though the past couple days have been a little sloppy, I expect us to easily break 45 today. And if we’re going to win this thing, everybody needs to be on the same page, so I’ve written down a few tips (many of which are frighteningly similar to the ones explained in last week’s edition) that you should all take a look at. 1. Log in time

As with last week, it is of utmost importance that you arrive here on time. Even though I emphasized that countless times in my previous post, there were still a good amount  of people who came late, so pay attention to this: We will begin logging on at :10 – 20 minutes before the battle actually starts, and I’d like everybody to try to be on Nacho chat a few minutes before then. Everybody needs to be online and settled by :50, which is when we will start performing warm-up tactics. When the clock strikes :30, we need to be able to attack at full force, but we’ll need you here on time for that to happen.

Be on chat and ready to go about 25 minutes early

2. Starting/battle room(s)

Server: Klondike

Starting room: Snow forts

Like last week, we will be starting off our day at the Snow forts, and as has become per usual, I want us forming a circle around the perimeter of the forts as soon as we all get there. At :26, we will announce our initial sequence which we will use upon entering the berg. I cannot stress how important the beginning of these battles are. Our performance to start things off makes more of an impression on the judges than you think, so please pay extra attention when we announce this (and if I tell you to load up a phrase during this time, do not press enter unless WE tell you to!). At :28, we will open our maps and prepare to make the move to the battle room.

This move needs to be fast. The risk of getting locked out for this battle has risen dramatically, especially now since we’re facing an opponent that reaches 50 on a daily basis. And as you may have noticed if you’ve happened to look at DW’s site recently, they have 100+ ‘yes’ votes on their attendance poll. Don’t let this number scare you off though, because rooms fill up at around 60 people. So, it is absolutely crucial that we beat DW to these rooms. Odds are, some of you will end up getting locked out, so if you do, and the judges do not assign a room for lockouts, camp out in the town, and keep trying to get in. The room will eventually open up.

3. Tactics

If you’ve been in this army for more than a few days now, you should already be accustomed to how we go about using tactics. We’re going to try to be as maneuverable and as swift as we can, so there is going to be absolutely no downtime today – we’re going to keep pounding away at DW until the 30 minutes is up. However, you need to be incredibly responsive on CP for our tactics to really shine. Even if we’re outnumbered by a few troops, we’re never out of it, Nachos; our tactics can and will carry us if we have some size and are all awake on CP, so please be as active as you can today.

4. General battle tips

• Be on chat 25 minutes before the battle begins.
• Never log off, no matter how grim things look.
• As always, our tactics are going to be fast paced and up-tempo. In order for us to pull off a victory, you need to pay attention to everything the owners say. There will be no time in between tactics for you to go afk; you MUST be alert at all times.
• If for whatever reason you do need to go afk for an EXTENDED period of time, please leave the battle room until you can be active again. Tactics will look a lot better if we don’t have troops standing idle.
• Unless you’re using the tip above, do not under any circumstances leave the room we’re in, especially in pre-battle. There is no need to see how large DW is. Just focus on us.
• If the judges decide to have a room switch halfway through, you need to move quickly.
• Try not to talk too much on chat.
• If you get locked out at any point today, do not get discouraged. Just keep trying.
• This is going to be arguably the biggest battle we’ve been in since March, and should be pretty fun. If you show up on time and are responsive on CP, there really isn’t anything holding us back. We can do this.

5. Reward(s)

Like last week, today is a promotion battle, which means that if we reach 50+ today, you will be promoted one rank. However, you will not be promoted right away; all promotions from events like these will be added to the scheduled promo day at the end of the month. 

In addition to this, if we reach 50 and come out on top, I will give two lucky mods a chat promotion to owner for a few days, and a few lucky members a chat promotion to mod for a few day, so please try your best to attend this one.
