Hello, Nachos!

It’s come to my attention we’ve gotten lucky in the fact club penguin has given us some good items to create a modern Nacho identity, a uniform. This post should guide you through it, and any further questions should be directed to the comment section below. Thanks

How to Earn a Promotion

Hola Nachos,

Promotions are a coveted goal of many soldiers in the Nachos. Promotions are what allows you to excel through the ranks and discover more about the Nacho army. For those of you who don’t understand what promotions are, allow me to explain.

Usually at least once a month, a post is released with an updated ranks page. The leaders themselves edit the ranks and create this post. Some soldiers are promoted for doing well, while others are demoted for not earning their rank. While everyone starts out at the very bottom as a private, they all have an equal opportunity to rise through the ranks. Usually if you have done well, you will only get moved up a rank at a time, however, on occasion some people will be promoted several ranks for going above and beyond. Sometimes a ranks update is released and many soldiers received no change. This doesn’t mean they did anything wrong, rather that the rank above them is filled.

It gets more complicated as you progress, especially when you start to work on earning the moderator and the exclusive owner position, but you will learn all about that as your career in the Nachos continues. Now let’s go into how to earn a promotion.

Consistency is the Key to Greatness

Hello Nachos,

I come to you today to tell you guys exactly what the title says and means. Discipline is key. Discipline leads to consistency, consistency leads to success, success leads to greatness. No one should ever be okay with being mediocre. We have goals as an army to set out and conquer, so we will fulfil them. It all begins with the heart of the army, the troops, without you guys, there is no army. You are as glorified for great things as the leaders are, just in different ways. We have a great group of leaders in this army, and we should pay homage to them by doing our absolute best. There are 3 components to being a successful army.

1. Hard Work

Without hard work, the army is insufficient in discipline. Without discipline it is easy to be beat and ridiculed by other armies who should not be doing so. Hard work defines the army and is key to its stability.

2. Recruiting

Recruiting is mandatory now a days. And, without it, you do not stand much of a chance in this community. It is an army eat army type of community, especially with the summer coming into play, things are getting much more competitive. Recruiting brings in new troops and helps us grow as an army. We must stand on our toes and be ready for what is to come. Which brings me to the next and final topic.

3. Consistency/Stability

Consistency and stability are also key to being a successful army, especially in the golden hours of the CP Army Community(summer time). With being stabilized, we can take the big hits and keep on fighting, and keep hitting back and harder.

That’s all for now guys, Viva Los Nachos!

How to Handle Nulls on Chat

Fun Fact: Through our combined recruiting efforts we were able to officially bring in over 21 soldiers in one day, most of whom visited our chat and got to meet their leaders and fellow soldiers. If we continue on this path we will be on our road to dominance in no time.

When we are busy recruiting on Club Penguin, we like to leave the chat box all over the site so new recruits can easily find it and communicate with us making it easier for them to join. The problem is Xat isn’t exactly new-user friendly and makes it overly complicated for new users to join the chat. I made this post to help all of our soldiers better understand how to help them to join the chat.

For starters everyone needs to know that if a user or an account that has never visited an Xat chat before joins a chat room, they will be a null user. How do you know who is a null user? They are always guests and when you click on their user, they will not have an ID. No name or numbers, just a blank space where most people’s ID’s would be. They will also carry one of Xat’s default usernames. Their default usernames are really cheesy and strange names. Examples include:

  • SnooglePuff
  • LoverFoof
  • GoobleBoo
  • etc.

The number one thing you need to know when a null user is online is do not member them. If you member them, you have to kick them from the chat in order for them to rejoin which makes it way more complicated. This also stops you from telling them how to join in the most effective way possible.

So how do we instruct these users to join? We leave a lot of tips around the chat box on the website, but sometimes users still just do not understand. I have found the most effective way to help a new recruit out is to private message them. Don’t private chat them because many new recruits won’t understand that they need to click on the little box with the green message alert.

When you private message them, you can instruct them to do two things:

  • Tell them to type anything in the box that says “Type Here” and press enter
  • Tell them to click their default name and remind them that they are the top right user

I usually tell them to type in the chat box because that is simpler and more direct to a brand new user. Here is an example of me private messaging a new user on how to join:

It is as simple as that. I add the smiley face for a slice of hospitality.

I’ve noticed people mishandle nulls and I was starting to grow worried that we were losing nulls, especially when we kick them from a chat which they may take as a sign of rejection. Thank you for reading this post. We have been bringing in tons of new soldiers to the army and I would like to finish this post by welcoming all our new soldiers to the Nachos! Adios amigos.
