Viva Los Nachos!

A collection of Nacho Penguins (Click to Enlarge)

Hola Nachos!

I’m sure you’ve heard the news, but I just wanted to share a quick message:

Do not be saddened by what will happen on March 29th. Instead, be joyous for all we have accomplished as an Army up to this point! These last two months should be a time for CELEBRATION, not mourning. Not celebrating the end of Nachos and CP Armies, celebrating how MARVELOUS the Nacho Army is, and how glad we are to have served in it! Just like all the penguins in the picture above, gear up for the Fiesta, because all of us are coming together to make these final days as special as they can be. We will give this army the LEGENDARY ending it deserves.

WE DON’T MARCH TO THE BEAT OF DRUMS
WE HEAR MARACAS!

\(º0º)/ Stone523 \(º0º)/

Our Focus

Nachos have got first on the Top Ten countless times, we’ve proved ourselves to be greatest, so the Top Ten really means nothing to me or anyone now. It’s about staying on the top the way we did throughout our history; wars and tournaments. Starting Monday, we’ll be engaging in mass warfare until the CPAC Tournament ends, old rivalries will be revived and we’re going to end these last few months at the top. We’ve got nothing to lose.

The End

HOLA NACHOS

Well Nachos, This is it…This is the end. I was on Club Penguin tonight and I was waddling around and thinking to myself how many good memories I had here. Not just army battles and events and such I mean having fun with friends. Going home everyday after school calling your friends to get on and play, it was some great times.I remember when I first learned of this online game and I decided to give it a try and fell in love with it! But alas I didn’t have a computer to play on so I used my friends and my families computers to play whenever I could. Then the day came when my same friend told me about this army call the Nachos, So I went on the website and signed up, but I couldn’t stay active so I took a few months off…until the day came when I got my very own family desktop. Then something happened on chat that uhhh lets say “killed my family desktop”(I will tell the story at my end of era post on March 28th) that kept me from coming on anymore (Again I will tell my full story on March 28th).Club Penguin has changed a lot and not for the better but at least they kept it alive and somewhat fun. Today I will admit a little part of me died today, Club Penguin was home to us all at some point of our lives. I am just happy that former leaders and legends are coming back to share the pain/enjoyment of our final days has a official Club Penguin Army. In these next two months I want every Member, Moderator, Owner, Leader, Former Leaders, and Legends too remember the good times that we all have had on that virtual island. And to make our final months something to remember. Until my next post…

NOTM #6[Nacho of the Month-January]

Hello Nachos! Welcome to the monthly Nacho of the Month! This month, we’ve had many amazing events, including the CPAC Hunt and Kill, which went perfectly. There are those people behind the scenes who contributed their loyalty and skills in order to achieve all these though, and they should somehow be awarded for their work and time put in for our success. How? By receiving a NOTM Award!

One Last Time.

Nachos,

The end is upon us.

Disney has announced that Club Penguin will be closing down on March 29th. This gives us 56 days to go out in a blaze of glory, one last time. 1,344 hours. 80640 minutes. An outrageous number of seconds that I’m not typing out here (4.838e+6). We need to make these last days our best days. I love every single one of you beautiful bastards and I’m goddamned honored to spend these dying days of CP armies with all of you. We’re gonna go out in style, and when March 29th comes, sure it will be very depressing, because this community has been a huge part of my life since ’09 when I first joined this army as a private. But it will also be awesome, because just like during the beginning of CP armies we were the top dog, at the end we will be the top dog. Let’s go out in a blaze of glory.

Also, you can actually tip the iceberg now. Go ahead and do that for a while lol.

One last time nachos.

Till The End,

Bubba

Mass Recruiting and Hype Starts Wednesday

ATTENTION NACHOS

MASS RECRUITING IS STARTING ON WEDNESDAY. EVERY NACHO NEEDS TO RECRUIT AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE SO WE CAN HIT 60+ ON SATURDAY. ALL NACHOS, VETERANS, RECRUITS, EVERYONE NEEDS TO PUT IN EFFORT, SO WE CAN COME OUT ON THE TOP AT THE END.

Disney Disrespect The Fans, But Celebrate Regardless

After running Club Penguin into the ground with their aggressive advertising, the increase of premium content, and the removal of key features, Disney have decided to close the game down in order to further exploit the brand. However, unsatisfied at merely closing Club Penguin down and giving it a nice send off, the company have decided to disrespect its loyal players.

Their blog post announcing the end of Club Penguin on the internet was not a farewell post, it was an advertisement. The post was not a send off or an obituary, the post was merely there to direct you to the imminent Club Penguin Island. The vast majority of Club Penguin’s current player base, including ourselves, will not make the leap to Club Penguin Island. The app is clearly for a new wave of players, they have no real intention of attracting the current crop. And yet, Disney have completely failed to announce the death of a major part of our childhoods in a dignified manner.

Disney’s in-game farewell comes in the form of a 2 month long party. While it is understandable that there needs to be an in game send off of some kind, it is also obvious that people will not appreciate this in party form. The plethora of people who will log into Club Penguin over the next couple of months will not be doing it to experience a party. They will be logging into Club Penguin to be overloaded with nostalgia, to get one last feel of the game before it ends forever. But Disney have insisted on changing the island for the sake of a party. This will hinder the amount of nostalgia that will be felt by people who were once loyal and dedicated fans. Club Penguin does not need a major party as a send off, it needs one monument to say farewell that does not take away from the vanilla Club Penguin that people want to re-experience.

It is the long time fans of the game who no longer play that Disney are truly disrespecting however. When the company decided to axe ToonTown, for the final month or so of the game, everything became available to non-members that they would otherwise not have access to. This is not the case for Club Penguin however, their post is clear in its implication that only those who have paid for memberships that will last until March 29th will enjoy the full experience until that date. Frankly, this is a disgraceful treatment of their customers. It would lose the company almost nothing to simply allow full-membership to all for free for the next couple of months – it is quite evident the game was not making an acceptable revenue anyway. This is completely disrespecting their fans, what is more is that the final day to purchase a membership was the same day they announced the island’s closure – people would not even have a chance to become a member. Not giving full access to the game for the final two months is plain evidence for the lack of respect and care for the community that Disney have, which is what has ultimately led to its death.

I cannot be anything other than sad over the death of a game that has played a major role in my life. But the anger I feel towards the company that ruined it and failed its community has only been exacerbated by the way they have handled its closure. It is clear that I will not be able to remember Club Penguin itself fondly by the restrictions Disney have placed upon it. But I will endeavour to remember this community, the army community, fondly. For us, these last couple of months should not be a final play of Club Penguin the game, they should be a celebration of everything good about the army community. The collective group that has kept Club Penguin alive in our hearts despite every nail that Disney has hammered into its coffin.

I hope to see many old faces over the short period we have left, and I would like to meet many of you who form the current generation. We have all allowed this community to make up part of our lives, and we need to ensure that we use these last two months as a way to remember this, but also to cement this. Let us go out with a bang.

Thank you,

Chrisi Blule

Calling all Nachos

As we are about to endure this nearing armageddon, I assure you all that the Nacho Army will not go out peacefully, and the Nacho Army will not go out without making its ultimate mark on the community. As previously stated by Verum, Club Penguin is coming to an end in about 8 weeks.

To some of you, this is something you’ve long awaited, to others, this is a devastating to hear, to us, well, this shouldn’t mean much. The Nacho Army has been alive for 87,600 or so hours roughly. To give you an idea of how much time the Nacho Army has left, we have 1,344 hours left. Now, this sounds like a dick load of time, but it’s really not a lot of time. Any person who’s led the army, served the army for extended periods of time, or has been around the army knows deep down that regardless of how gay this shit was sometimes, it really did affect them in some way.

March 29th is the day Club Penguin closes, and we have until then to kick as much ass as possible. I never thought we’d see the end, but it’s nearing, and it will come quick.

I personally challenge any Nacho Veteran who reads this to come and rejoin the Army in some way. I’m not saying you have to make a full time commitment to the army, because that would be retarded for any of you over the age of 17. But, I am saying that if you could attend two battles within these next 8 weeks, it would be totally worth it. I encourage anyone to rejoin. Rumor has it, we might be challenging the Army of Club Penguin to a final battle to end all battles when the end is at it’s nearest. I think every Nacho, old or young would love to be apart of that battle to prove who the greatest army of all time is. Rejoining doesn’t mean you have to be active, but I encourage each and every one of you Nacho veterans to attend a few battles in these coming weeks.

Regardless of when CP shuts down, the Nacho legend will live on forever. Lets put our best effort in for this last hurrah. I personally hope we can gather as many as possible for the impending end of the Nacho Army.
