We die together

At 12:01 PST the Club Penguin servers were closed on us forever. This is the record of the final hour of Club Penguin armies.

Nachos Take, Burn, and Pillage Breeze from ACP || The Final Event

This was it, the final event. We successfully captured Breeze from the best enemies this game has offered, the ACP. When our army finally dies in a few hours we can go out knowing that we ended with the upper-hand.

We logged in at 10pm EST, and were treated to a chat, that was not only completely filled, but overflowing with veterans of the Nacho Army from throughout our entire history. We began in the dojo, the room that once embodied all that CP warfare was, before heading to the pool. During this period we perhaps achieved around 40+ and a superb quality of tactics. After once again dominating the pool we performed the ancient ritual of streaking throughout the server, which eventually led to the boiler room. Once there we showed our love and affection for each other, to reinforce the bond that has kept us together for over 10 years now. And finally, the last room we pillaged was the iceberg, which through our unity we successfully tipped.

Capturing Breeze from our biggest rivals in our final event shows perhaps everything that it means to be a Nacho. We are the army that was committed to being bold, unorthodox and fearless. Throughout our history we have taken on every challenge thrown at us and we have achieved all the goals that we have set. We are indeed the most legendary army.

I would like to thank everyone who came. You have made this event memorable for all who attended, and I hope when you inevitably reminisce over this community that you remember this last event. The event where we finally showed the ACP and the rest of this community once and for all that we are the greatest army to exist.

Though it must be said, thank you ACP, you were a close second to us and we would could not have had a better army to face off against so many times. I am glad that we have went out together.

I also wish to thank everyone that we have had the opportunity to meet over the years. If you have been a Nacho at any point in our history then this event was for you. This was in memory of everything that we have done over the years, whether it be the wars, the tournaments, or even the hilarious moments on chat. You have all helped to create this memory, and it will last a lifetime.

I guess there is one last thing.

Comment if you made it!

Thanks,

The Nacho Army

2 Million Hits

I am not sure anyone noticed, but it is always nice to keep a record of these things. Sometime in the last 2 weeks, in the run up to the end, the Nachos achieved 2 million hits on this site. This is a remarkable achievement for a Club Penguin site, and from my knowledge within the community only ACP and CPAC have more.

It is a testament to the great work and effort that goes into this site.

Thank you to all of you have contributed, whether you were someone who has written multiple pages and hundreds of posts, to even those who simply commented. You have helped develop the history of the Nachos that is enshrined here.

In the far flung future, when this is all finished, it will be nice to revisit this site and relive some of the memories it provides.

Thanks,

Disney Disrespect The Fans, But Celebrate Regardless

After running Club Penguin into the ground with their aggressive advertising, the increase of premium content, and the removal of key features, Disney have decided to close the game down in order to further exploit the brand. However, unsatisfied at merely closing Club Penguin down and giving it a nice send off, the company have decided to disrespect its loyal players.

Their blog post announcing the end of Club Penguin on the internet was not a farewell post, it was an advertisement. The post was not a send off or an obituary, the post was merely there to direct you to the imminent Club Penguin Island. The vast majority of Club Penguin’s current player base, including ourselves, will not make the leap to Club Penguin Island. The app is clearly for a new wave of players, they have no real intention of attracting the current crop. And yet, Disney have completely failed to announce the death of a major part of our childhoods in a dignified manner.

Disney’s in-game farewell comes in the form of a 2 month long party. While it is understandable that there needs to be an in game send off of some kind, it is also obvious that people will not appreciate this in party form. The plethora of people who will log into Club Penguin over the next couple of months will not be doing it to experience a party. They will be logging into Club Penguin to be overloaded with nostalgia, to get one last feel of the game before it ends forever. But Disney have insisted on changing the island for the sake of a party. This will hinder the amount of nostalgia that will be felt by people who were once loyal and dedicated fans. Club Penguin does not need a major party as a send off, it needs one monument to say farewell that does not take away from the vanilla Club Penguin that people want to re-experience.

It is the long time fans of the game who no longer play that Disney are truly disrespecting however. When the company decided to axe ToonTown, for the final month or so of the game, everything became available to non-members that they would otherwise not have access to. This is not the case for Club Penguin however, their post is clear in its implication that only those who have paid for memberships that will last until March 29th will enjoy the full experience until that date. Frankly, this is a disgraceful treatment of their customers. It would lose the company almost nothing to simply allow full-membership to all for free for the next couple of months – it is quite evident the game was not making an acceptable revenue anyway. This is completely disrespecting their fans, what is more is that the final day to purchase a membership was the same day they announced the island’s closure – people would not even have a chance to become a member. Not giving full access to the game for the final two months is plain evidence for the lack of respect and care for the community that Disney have, which is what has ultimately led to its death.

I cannot be anything other than sad over the death of a game that has played a major role in my life. But the anger I feel towards the company that ruined it and failed its community has only been exacerbated by the way they have handled its closure. It is clear that I will not be able to remember Club Penguin itself fondly by the restrictions Disney have placed upon it. But I will endeavour to remember this community, the army community, fondly. For us, these last couple of months should not be a final play of Club Penguin the game, they should be a celebration of everything good about the army community. The collective group that has kept Club Penguin alive in our hearts despite every nail that Disney has hammered into its coffin.

I hope to see many old faces over the short period we have left, and I would like to meet many of you who form the current generation. We have all allowed this community to make up part of our lives, and we need to ensure that we use these last two months as a way to remember this, but also to cement this. Let us go out with a bang.

Thank you,

Chrisi Blule

Deluded Badboy mistakes bots for troops [Fjord = Victory]

Oh wow.

First things first, a very big thank you to all of you who came to the event and successfully defended Fjord. Once again the Nachos proved that we are not to be messed with – especially on our capital.

Badboy, you CANNOT claim this as an RPF victory. No way. We really cannot tell who was bigger between you and the Nachos because half of your army was formed from bots. I’m not going to accuse RPF of using the bots themselves as evidence points to others. However, I will say this, RPF, THE BOTS DO NOT COUNT AS YOUR TROOPS. HAHAHHAHAHAHA. Just because you are at a disadvantage from the bots wearing black and standing all over you does not mean you can start counting them as your own. (Though I can see why the mistake would be made, since the bots don’t do your tactics, just like your own troops.)

2

Just look at this. Badboy claimed that RPF had a size advantage of “16-12.” I mean, even at face value it is clear from this that Badboy cannot count. Twelve is a smaller number than sixteen and thus it would be phrased “12-16.” However, there is also this very small fact, there is absolutely no way RPF could possibly fit that many more troops in the room even if they had them on the server. Between the Nachos, RPF and the bots, the ski hill does not possess a great enough capacity for RPF to have outnumbered us by twelve. It is through this that we can easily conclude that Badboy is what we would call “deluded.”

Badboy in his own mind is ok though, he truly believes in the power of “CPA.” No wonder though, since CPA is Commando717’s project, y’know, the guy who made RPF. And as we know, Commando and Elmikey have had cults of personalities formed around them by RPF troops, so it is little surprise that Badboy subscribes to this.

1

This is only hours after he had been barking on about CPA on CPAC…

Onto the battle itself, from what I could tell RPF spent most at a size equal to us, and like usual we performed the better tactics.

We spent most of the battle at the Ski Hill, only sadly for RPF they decided that they were not going to do that, and retreated multiple times. Erm, I hate to break this to you, but we were defending, and you were attacking, so according to your most precious “CPA” you were technically forfeiting? “CPA” does say attackers must follow defenders…

Look, I won’t say our size was great, but it rivalled RPF, and as usual our tactics were superior to there’s. Therefore when compounded with their multiple retreats from us it is only fair to say that we have won the Defence of Fjord.

proooflOL

This is the picture that Badboy used to “prove” RPF was bigger in our PC conversation. I’m sorry, but each army has 13 troops in this picture.

Anyway, thank you to all who came, well done for defending Fjord.

Nachos win 4 in a row, RPF in denial

This post is intended to be temporary until the full results post is released by Stone – with pictures, a report etc.

The Nachos will be claiming victory for the;

  • Invasion of Matterhorn
  • Invasion of Deep Snow
  • Defence of Sasquatch
  • Invasion of Outback

While RPF possessed a very slight size advantage for some parts of the battles their tactics were abysmal. We completely obliterated the RPF on that front – they were incapable of moving and couldn’t even get their troops to consistently perform tactics, which will be demonstrated from our pictures of the events.

RPF, please, for once admit defeat. We completely trounced you today.

Of course they probably won’t because their leaders are in complete denial. After all, their leader ranks do possess some of the most delusional people in Club Penguin Armies.

But nice work today Nachos, once again we showed that we’re better than the RPF!

Maintain the Momentum

Today has been a good day for the Nacho army. We have successfully defeated the Golds and placed 2nd in CPAC’s Top 10. We have been steadily rising for the last few weeks and this week has kept the upwards curve going. Now we must maintain this momentum as we meet new challenges.

Club Penguin armies are all about maintaining momentum; a plateau in activity and effort can see an army plummet in the rankings if they as a group are not careful.

We have an advantage over every other army at this moment, we are rising, and thus, we have momentum. It is up to each of you to keep us going forward. Our next test will be the Legends Cup semi-finals, where we will face both Water Vikings and ACP. This will be the decider for how this army fares over the next month. A defeat and we will plateau, a victory and we will continue to rise and become the dominant force in armies once again.

704f6558fd924e8db3fc33edcbdeb1ff

There is still a significant portion of summer left, however, for many of you, this may perhaps be the final full month of summer. Therefore we must make the most of it. Each of you needs to give their all to this army. I am not asking for you to devote your entire summer to the army, but making sure to come to events, to hop on chat, and even recruit a little will ensure that we maintain momentum. This will be vital in securing our place at the top.

All of you are Nachos, and all of you are capable of helping this army rise. Please, help keep this momentum that we have created and I am sure that we will steamroll the Legends Cup finals- and maybe more, a war perhaps?

Guess Who?

No sorry, this isn’t a new game we’ll be playing on the site- though that does give me an idea. Instead, unfortunately for you, this post marks when I have re-entered the fray for the thousandth time – despite the fact that I have retired “permanently” twice in the last 3-4 years. Yes, you have to put up with Chrisi Blule, AGAIN. Poor you. Don’t you worry though; I’m only a 2nd in command!

The reason for my most recent join comment was fairly simple, I am currently only half way through my summer holidays and I am already dying of boredom. The Nachos are a great way of relieving this boredom. As I explained in my last post, “The Issue of Growing Old and Stuff“, I still enjoy the Nachos. This army will always remain as a sort of internet family for me.

Over what will probably be the next couple of months I hope to be able to work with our leaders, and perhaps impart some advice and wisdom with them. Though, let’s be honest, they’re all fairly capable ‘fellas anyway, so I mightn’t need to. My main goal is to be the best owner I can be, and to give my fullest effort to ensure that is army can continue our path to dominance again.

Together I am sure that we can easily achieve this goal; to yet again become unquestionably the greatest army in the community. We need every one of you behind us and together we will succeed.

~Chrisi Blule

And for your entertainment, the first piece of army graphics I ever made from back in 2008…

Wasn’t I brilliant with MS Paint?

Hola, I’m Chrisi Blule, you might remember me. Daniel has admined me and the situation is now ok. Well, except for the fact that I’m currently at work then I’m going out and really don’t have time to readmin/editor/author people until I get back. Until that time you’ll just have to hang in there unless you manage to contact Person.

I’d like to conclude with this; Agent, if someone Kiks you claiming to be Puckley, and then you add a WordPress account that clearly isn’t Puckley’s WordPress then you can only be described as being an idiot. Ffs.

Also, if you do need to post before I sort it, Step is an editor.

Thank you,
